About Us
Eastman Septic Service has been servicing the Lac Du Bonnet region for over 11 years. As a young man growing up, Owner Operator Darren Drewlo cherished the years he spent at the family cottage, which allowed him to know the region. When the opportunity came up to purchase Eastman Septic Service in 2014, Darren and his family jumped at the chance to plant permanent roots in the “Four Season Playground,” otherwise known as the Rural Municipality of Lac du Bonnet.

Septic Services
If freezing is an issue with the tank during the winter months, make sure you cover it with mulch and/or straw bales to protect it during the colder months.
Wrapping heat trace line on any exposed sewer lines and insulating them from the outside elements can keep your plumbing running smoothly thru the icy cold winter months. If you plan to open the cabin during the Holiday season, this is particularly important to ensure it won’t be frozen and ready for use.
We ask that you allow for advance scheduling for your septic tank service. During normal operating season, we recommend three days notice for scheduling service calls. During the summer holiday season and long weekends, service appointments book up very quickly therefore during this very busy time, we recommend up to seven days notice.
Having a house full of guests and not being able to flush a toilet can get downright uncomfortable for everyone. Recognizing that these types of emergencies do occur in life, last-minute emergency service calls may be available but are subject to emergency call service rates.
1. Sludge that accumulates at the bottom of your tank must be pumped out regularly. If you do not remove the build-up of sludge, it will overflow into your other compartment and eventually into the pump system. This will cause a major clog in the system.
2. If bacteria-killing products (including bleach, disinfectants, drain openers, detergents, etc.) are used, the bacteria must be replenished to avoid the disastrous build-up and overflow of solids.
A holding tank merely holds sewage; it does not leach away water/liquid into the ground as a septic system does. Once the holding tank is full, the sewage must be pumped out and sent to a municipal treatment system. Because holding tanks do not process sewage, they will need to be serviced more frequently than septic tanks.
The most important item to ensure your septic system remains healthy is regular maintenance and pumping of your septic tank.
Secondly, make sure that nothing goes down your drains that clog the system or lower its efficiency. Paints, oils, fats, diapers, feminine products, garbage and harmful chemicals should all be avoided because they kill the good bacteria that break down the solid waste in your septic system.

Yes, and you also have the option of adding an insulated jacket (R4 insulation value) to your toilet rental for winter use, which will help make the units warmer during the colder months.
There is no minimum number of days you have to rent our portable toilets. We provide clean portable toilet rentals for various reasons to both private individuals and corporations. Rentals can be short or long-term, seasonal or on an emergency basis.
